#OER18: a BIG thank you to our sponsors
We would like to say a BIG thank you to our sponsors for this year’s conference. Your support allowed us to facilitate an excellent conference where great minds from around the globe were able to come together, collaborate and explore open education for 2 full days.
Planning is already under way for OER19 so please check the conference platform regularly for updates.
Registration is now also open for our 25th Annual Conference taking place in Manchester in September and there is still time to explore becoming a sponsor or exhibitor.

UK Open Textbooks
What is the viability of introducing open textbooks in UK higher education?
Through the testing of two proposed models: OpenStax and OpenTextbook Network approaches, who have seen impressive growth and impact in the North American context we will aim to test the transferability of these models to a new context, namely that of the UK.
We have identified several sub questions for further investigation during this project:
- How does the context differ?
- What are the methods for uptake that are transferable?
- What can be generalised for adoption elsewhere?
