Not at #OER18? Ways to participate remotely

If you aren’t at #OER18 we’ve still got various ways that you can participate and join in remotely. Here are some ways you can participate:

Follow and comment on sessions

The conference site is open for anyone to view. For the more interactive features like building your own schedule and follow/comment on sessions or to engage with other participants you need to register/login to this site. If you are registered to attend OER18 you can use the username created at the event registration. If you can’t remember this you can try a password reset with your email address to get your username and password. If you are an ALT Member you can login with your ALT username and password. If you are not an ALT Member more information on Joining as an ALT Member).

Social media

Share your photos, videos, links, blog posts using the #oer18 tag

Remote viewing of streamed sessions

A number of the sessions at this years conference will be streamed live. These will be marked on the Programme with the YouTube icon . To view a live streamed session open the session details page. Each live streamed session page includes an embedded YouTube player. When the session is due to start click on the play button to see the stream. If you are having problems with the video player the YouTube official help is the best starting point.

Community led activity

Again this year Virtually Connecting will be at OER18 providing an opportunity to speak with conference delegates and speakers including our keynotes and co-chairs. You can read more about sessions at the conference.

Share photos/sketchnotes

If you’d like to share photos of how you are participating in OER18 or have other media like sketchnotes you can share these on the dedicated OER18 Photo site.

Missed a live session?

Recordings of live sessions are immediately available so don’t worry if you miss a session.
